We haven't been to Fontana in 4 years and gosh we need to do it more often. This is a 15 minute drive from our home, and it's so beautiful and so peaceful....if only my allergies hadn't started for the season on our visit there! Ugh! We went on Labor Day for the morning.
Beautiful, old bridge

On the nature trail

They had these sand 'piers' in several places, so you felt like you were out on the water

Ryan and the girls sitting on one

Walking on the trail

Arabella has the sweetest, wispy blond hair with a tiny bit of curl....and I'm so glad I was able to capture that. :)

Can you see the boo-boo on her forehead? She planted herself head first onto our wood floors last week :(

Faux-hawk ;)

There was a friendly family of deer

Delphina liked feeding them

The family of buffalo were larger than life

Checking out the duckies

Wait for me!!!

Ryan painted the daycare nursery/Delphina & Arabella's clothing room. He took off all the baseboards and window trimmings and is going to paint them white, but it took so long getting them off that he hasn't gotten to that yet. We don't want it to look like a nursery when we try to sell the house in a few years!
Before (Winnie the Pooh theme)

After (this is where the window seat and shelves will go - read below)

Before

After

The shelving Ryan is installing came on Friday. He drafted a floor to ceiling, wall to wall bookshelf for the room, complete with a window seat. They sell for like $1500+ at Pottery Barn, but he had his work build it AND paint it for him for less than $250! Can't wait to get it put up! :)

Dee modeling the shirt her Grandpa picked out for her, and the hairstyle her Gramma did for her yesterday

I'm told she looks strikingly similar to what I looked like at age 5, in this hair style...
