Brave Little Girl

Delphina got her flu shot last night and she was so brave! We let her know that the shot was not only to keep her healthy, but it was to protect her baby sister as well. She was so proud to get that shot "for my baby sister!" :) She didn't so much as flinch when she got the shot. Ryan offered to take her for a treat after, but she just said "no thanks!" We are all vaccinated now, so hopefully it will be a healthy winter around here!

Delphina has started reading books to her baby sister at bedtime. I mentioned to her how I used to read to her when she was in my tummy, and she took it upon herself to start a new tradition. She has so many of her books memorized, that she truly is reading the stories! Little Roo really starts fluttering when her big sister is reading to her...it's just so cute!

We've had a busy week. I re-certified in CPR on Tuesday for daycare and my massage license. Last night Dee and I went to a Pampered Chef party (her daycare friends were there, so she got to play)....and there was a month-old baby there that she thought was pretty cool. This weekend we have a birthday party to attend, and then Delphina is getting her FIRST hair trim!!! :) Her ends are looking pretty gross, so we'll probably get about an inch cut off, but NO more!!! She is nervous that it will hurt, but excited to do a "big girl thing". We're going to Pizza Hut for lunch after her big morning! :)

Sunday we are doing family pictures with all 9 of us! The girls are excited to wear their pretty dresses and smile nice for the camera. We'll also be celebrating Papa's birthday with lunch afterwards! Can you believe Thanksgiving is in a week???
